Instructions for Use:

 <li>Upon observing a lightning strike, press the 'Lightning' button.</li>
 <li>After hearing the thunder, press the 'Thunder' button.</li>
 <li>Select the distance measurement by tapping to toggle between metric and imperial units.</li>
 <li>The history list allows users to track whether the storm is approaching or receding.</li>

Technical Background:
The application leverages the principle that light travels significantly faster than sound. By calculating the time elapsed between seeing the lightning and hearing the thunder, users can estimate the distance to the storm by multiplying this duration by the speed of sound.
